Community Outreach

WTEF is determined to be a positive force in the community, particularly in Ward 7, where our East Capitol Campus is located. To that end, from September through June, we provide free tennis lessons for Ward 7 residents. Throughout the year, we also host occasional Tennis Play Days to introduce local youth to the sport. In the summer, our older students help coach newcomers to the sport at DC Department of Recreation courts. Seniors from Ward 7 are welcome to use our fitness room for free on weekday mornings. Year-round, the large common room inside our East Capitol Campus building is used by several local groups for meetings. For example, the area’s Advisory Neighborhood Commission meets regularly at WTEF, as do several tenants’ organizations from nearby apartment complexes.

To find out if the East Capitol Campus can host your meeting, contact Tennis Direcotr Mike Ragland at mragland@wtef.org or 202-660-0132.
