In the Community

WTEF also takes our tennis and education services out into the community. Our Arthur Ashe Children’s Program (AACP) operates at 15 elementary and one middle school in distressed parts of the city, in Wards 5, 6, 7, and 8. Children are able to feed into our Center for Excellence at our East Capitol Campus from the AACP

Bringing afterschool programs to the schools makes it easy for kids to get involved and keeps them safe and engaged in productive activities during risky after-school hours.

WTEF also provides skilled instructors to lead tennis play days, designed to introduce new children to the sport, at various DC Department of Parks and Recreation courts primarily in the Northeast and Southeast quadrants of the city.
